Another Tooth Fairy has surfaced in Farmersville!
It turns out that the lady I suspected sent the three one-dollar bills was not the one I had in mind. I know this because in the book drop the other morning was a letter to Chey from that lady I had suspected as the three dollar-bill lady. I now have no idea who the first Tooth Fairy is.
This second Tooth Fairy wrote Chey a letter, telling him what a brave boy he was. She had told her grandchildren about the trip to the dentist that had two heads and they think Chey is a hero. His admirers sent him a “little reward”, by enclosing a big ‘ole five dollar bill for him.
I’m not sure if all his accumulated wealth will go for the Square Pants feller or not. He and Mom rented it the other night, and I’m not sure if he was impressed enough to want to buy one to keep at his house or not. If not, I’m sure there is possibly some sort of Spiderman toy out there that Cheyenne can sink his wealth into. I’m not too sure about that statement, however, because it seems that he already has all the Spiderman stuff known to mankind.
He has two different Spiderman nice, soft throws that cover him at night. (And I can’t imagine who bought them for him!) He has the web thrower, two actual stuffed Spiderman, and a large S.-man pillow. (And I can’t imagine who bought that for him!) He attempts very often to climb straight up walls, just as his hero does. But he hasn’t made it yet.
If you want to know anything about Green Goblin or Dr. Octopus or who Spiderman really is, just ask him. He’ll tell you about the experiment that went wrong. No, that’s not Spiderman, that’s Frankenstein. But he can tell you all about Frankie too. He seems fascinated by him.
He’ll go into detail about the spider that bit Peter Parker, that started all of the excitement. But, if you don’t want to know it all, you better not ask. Cause you’ll get the whole story, with a demonstration of the Big Man-Spider throwing his web, and how mean Dr. Octopus is and what he looks like when he is really mean. But, he got nice at the end. See, you can tell that I’ve had the story, can’t you?
Oh, in running down the list of Cheyenne’s Spiderman accumulation, I failed to mention his Spiderman costume, complete with gloves and a mask that goes over his head. He looks very authentic when he gets all his regalia on.
When his mom took him to see the Spiderman movie, he wore that costume and created quite a stir among the other people there. They had a mini-Spiderman, looking very authentic right there, right now, right off the screen.
So, many, many thanks, again, to Farmersville Tooth Fairy No. 1 and now No. 2. You are both so very nice to do this for my little one.
We’ll tear ourselves away from S-Man now and back to books. Speaking of books, I do have the big-g-g Spiderman book at the library. You can tell it has been well-loved and well-read. It stays gone most of the time. Cheyenne has poured over it for long periods of time and his mother and I have read much of it, and explained many pictures in it, to a certain young Mini-S.Man. And, now on to a big-people book, written by Lisa Jackson, entitled “Hot Blooded”.
“Dr. Samantha Leeds is the host of a popular New Orleans radio talk show. She begins getting calls both at home and at work from one of her listeners—a man who claims she must repent for her past sins—or die. Coincidentally, perhaps, an attractive and very attentive man moves into Samantha’s neighborhood. Ty Wheeler isn’t very forthcoming about himself. Could he somehow be involved with the threatening phone calls? Detective Rick Benz and his partner believe that a series of murders in the seedy French Quarter of the city may be related to Samantha’s threatening caller. All of these elements come together for a shocking conclusion in this fast-paced novel of romantic suspense.”
